elito Tl Posts: 1 Argentina | Posted - 10/29/2007 2:56:16 PM I am sorry if the question is basic, but I am new to the forum and to the general modem knowledge. I am trying to use only one device on my desk, my notebook, so I am trying to connect it to my PSTN line, so as to receive all my calls thru my headsets and also dial from there. Just to complete the picture, I do have a VOIP provider but I still need to use the PSTN. I have tried several software products but it looks like my problem is my modem. It is an HDAudio SoftV92 Data Fax modem with SmartCP, but it looks that it is not a VOICE MODEM. Could somebody explain what is a voice modem ? can I add something to my modem to be able to use it a as a voice modem ? If I am stuck with this modem, is there any software product that will work with this type of modems and let me use the way I want it ? |
